DAY 10 EINSLEIGH TO GEORGETOWN
Out of bed hoping for flat but got increasingly hilly in second half. Got overtaken by the Cairns – Karumba charity bike ride on the last big hill. Ride organiser ‘Steve’ invited us to join the 150 riders for dinner at the Georgetown rodeo grounds that night. Good’o.
I staggered into Georgetown at about 2pm for a burger and Coke. Set up at the campgrounds, cleaned up and up to the pub to see the last of the criterion races. A couple of ales and off to find the rodeo grounds for the free feed
I got the last two cubes of chicken in the salad, others jagged a slice of steak. Very well organised, supported charity ride, well done Steve and committee
