Cold, windy and occasionally wet.

Across the Mersey at LIverpool (that river stinks!!!) and through pretty uninteresting suburbs to an uninteresting suburb at St Helens. A bit of overgrown Google Maps bike path on the way from Liverpool proper to St Helens.

The hotel we found there (hard to find any accommodation in Liverpool strangely) was the most basic old boarding house of the trip. Anyway we all squeezed in for the night.

Found a pub for dinner and that was it.
