Fortunately Rashmei from Bluehost webhosting chat help had the problem fixed in minutes. A plugin that does automatic updates posts was doing bad things. Rashmei found it, fixed it. Moving on.

Next issue is the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (which causes the disease COVID-19). While the disease COVID-19 is ‘mostly harmless’ as the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy advises, it seemingly kills about 2% of infected people, rising to double that in ‘older’ persons and triple that in older people with high blood pressure, compromised lungs, diabetes or weak immune system. I am an optimist and in good health so I reckon I can risk getting it fairly safely. In case I am wrong I have written my will!

But the coronavirus is causing flights to be cancelled, and upsetting national governments which really want to be seen to be doing something. Unfortunately, a lot of ‘doing something’ is quarantining travellers from countries with infections. I am flying out through Hong Kong to Vancouver. As yet this is unaffected except that so few people are flying that my trip out has been cancelled and rescheduled for a few days earlier. This could interfere with my going away party.
